I enjoyed listening to group 3 intercultural communications input, I'm surprised to know that the Vietnamese eat dogs. Since hearing stuff like that would be considered stereotypical and racist, so you would have seen the surprise on my face when I heard them say that. What I'm not surprised to hear is the gender-bending skirt that the men were in Sweden, and how everyone doesn’t seem bothered. The video they showed in one of the slides shown was also interesting to watch, the Asian man apologizing for something that wasn't his fault caught my attention. Another video that caught my interest is the video that showed different ways cultures greeted or say hi to each other, the Eskimos rub or kiss each other nose as a way of greeting and in East Asia, they bow to show respect and to greet others. The video about different cultures was also interesting to watch showing the different people and their customs, I didn’t know there were so many ways to communicate nonverbal to someone without speaking. Another interesting fact I found out from the group lecture was that if a baby can’t touch the ground if the baby touches the ground then it means it loses its purity, and in Greece, they spit on the baby to get away from bad luck and evil spirit. I was taken back when they brought up the socioeconomic never seen that word before so it interesting bow it talks about social hierarchy and status, and it also mentions how it is rooted in the American dream. I also want to talk about the group I mean they did a great job, but I thought the slides, in the beginning, should have had more information in the slides to show since when they were talking the mic was going out a bit. Another good job this group did was having the information they didn't add to the slides, already in notes so they didn't have to read off the slides. All in all, they did a good job explaining the chapter in good detail to make us know what they were talking about, and the videos also gave us examples of different verbal and nonverbal gestures in different cultures.

In group 9 communicating in groups with my team, it was nice to hear the other member's slides especially about having a certain amount of people in your group. I agree that having a small group would be easy to do a project since you don't have a lot of people to depend on, and you don't have to worry about trying to find everyone if you are in a small group. I like how they went into depth about healthy groups and having ethical goals that can make the group safe and open, but I have disliked the cohesiveness of a group since I'm antisocial, so I like to know what I have to do and do it without having to talk to anyone. I also like how they talk about the norms and ground rules about being in a group to show what is appropriate and what's not appropriate, and I like how they mentioned holding as a group we should hold each other accountable. It was good to hear the stages of group development, so we can see how we should be in a group and how we should go about working in a project or a workplace project, so we don’t go in a floozy well working on their projects. I like the videos my teams used to show what a healthy group should look like to help show us how to treat each other, and the images they have on the slides were nice to see to show what you were trying to say. I think my group did an amazing job, and we had a lot of good information in our slides. I feel like I did a bad good because I was talking too fast and stumbling over my words, which probably caused some people in the room to not understand what I was talking about. I also feel a bit disappointed that I read off the slides as well and I should slow down when talking I'm so used to not speaking that I get all nervous and miss myself up. We did a good job when we finish I think we went into what the chapter was about and in our videos, we showed how a team and groups should work and put together to make a good team and group.

In group 10 group leadership and problem-solving, In problem-solving, there are different types of leaders like the maintenance leadership roles. I like how they help the group with maintaining and development, so they develop and confident in their groups. I like how they mentioned the five key leadership resources and effective meetings that can help discuss the project better. I also like how they discuss problem-solving step by step problem-solving a good result, and how they talk about value, facts, and policy. I learned that procedural roles are made up of logistics, gatekeepers, expedites, and recorders. I also enjoy listening to the video that helps you become a better leader for your group, and it’s how there a rules for effective meetings like establishing hard edges, stating the desire, reviewing the minute and action item, determining the next date, create am agenda, take written minutes, and determine the next meeting date. I like how they showed what a team leader should be doing and what a member of the group should be doing to make an organized group, they also show guidelines on how to have an open mind and listen to suggestions as well as pay attention and share your input. This group did a great job with presenting this chapter, I learn so much about problem-solving and being a good leader, and they had a good amount of information too to help us understand what the chapter was about.
